Hermitage-based tech company names directors

OhanaLink Technologies, a Hermitage based technology startup, named its board board of directors Wednesday.

The voluntary board is comprised of individuals representing its shareholders and leaders in their respective industries. The group will serve as advisors to OhanaLink’s executive team. Board members are:

• Karen Barrow: With 30 years in the healthcare supply industry, Barrow has developed and implemented contracts involving, among other things, medical devices, pharmacy and laboratory services, capital, construction, computer hardware and purchased services. A registered nurse, she has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in healthcare administration from St. Francis University.

• Laura Blaire: An Investment Advisor Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP), Blaire is chief operating officer for a wealth management company. She has specialized in operations management, hiring talent and retention, and Security and Exchange Commission compliance. She has a bachelor’s degree from Chatam College and earned a master’s degree in management with a concentration in leadership at The American College.

• John Frangakis: A successful entrepreneur and experienced CEO, Frangakis has a long history in the packaging and containers and information technology industries. He graduated from the Wharton School of Business of the University of Pennsylvania and has an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. He was awarded an honorary doctor of science from Thiel College.

• Hugh Greene: Serving as the CEO of a Jacksonville, Fla., health system for 20 years, Greene has served on numerous boards including the University of North Florida and the United Way of Northeast Florida. He currently serves on multiple private investment firms. He has a master’s degree in health administration from the Medical College of Virginia and a master’s degree of divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Ky.

• Scott Runyan: A certified public accountant, with nearly 30 years of experience in public accounting and business consulting services, Runyan has worked with clients in multiple industries including manufacturing and distribution. He has concentrated on financial institutions for the past 10 years involving financial reporting and regulatory compliance. Runyan earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University.

OhanaLink, founded in 2020 by Hermitage resident Kara Wasser, creates mobile apps for the healthcare industry, medical patients and manufacturers. In July the company expanded its offerings by partnering with Children & Youth Prevention – Empowerment Network, a crisis response team that supports young children with trauma, to customize mobile technology designed to enhance the support programs for its clients.
