Golden Caregivers Connects Patients to Providers with OhanaLink Partnership
Published By The Business Journal:
Through a new partnership, Golden Caregivers will serve as a pilot program to offer OhanaLink Technologies‘ mobile app to assist in-home clients.
The Sharpsville-based personal care provider serves individuals who need a variety of home-based services, including nursing support, transportation for medical appointments and other private duty services in Mercer County. The OhanaLink app provides a private communication platform to connect patients directly to their caregivers and support providers.
“We are excited to partner with Golden Caregivers and other community-based health providers to provide a new channel of communications for their clients available on their mobile devices.” Kara Wasser, OhanaLink founder and CEO, said in a statement. “The OhanaLink mobile app is designed specifically to bridge communication gaps that often occur in a healthcare setting. Our unique products offer a private, virtual space to communicate directly with the patient or client’s ‘ohana’ or support circle and brings families into the healthcare communication loop.”
OhanaLink apps allow users to privately share real-time updates in a safe, secure environment, unlike social media, group chats or text messaging, according to the release.
“We believe that by offering the OhanaLink Health technology will provide an added benefit to our clients and caregivers.” said Cathy Womer, owner of Golden Caregivers. “We look forward to introducing the program to both our clients and staff members and believe that this will aid in enhancing communications, as well as improving outcomes for clients by more directly involving support individuals.”
The OhanaLink suite of solutions helps patients and families remain connected during a number of health-related events, including births, critical diagnoses, surgery, or longer-term illnesses or injuries, according to the release. Virtual waiting rooms included in the OhanaLink menu include OhanaLink Baby, OhanaLink Health and OhanaLink Health Kids.
The app is available for download on mobile phones from Google Play or the Apple Store.
